About The Position

Bagira Systems is looking for an experienced and proactive Project Manager to join our team in Brno and lead projects focused on Ukraine operations and cooperation.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an international environment, enjoys coordinating complex projects, and can maintain strong communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. The position requires frequent cooperation with Ukrainian stakeholders; therefore, willingness to travel regularly to Ukraine is essential.

The successful candidate will become the key point of contact for customers and project partners while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the expected quality level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end R&D projects involving the development and delivery of physical products, from project initiation through final delivery
  • Plan and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, resources, and project execution
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including hardware, software, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and testing engineers
  • Drive project execution while balancing technical, commercial, quality, and schedule requirements
  • Lead risk identification and mitigation while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Coordinate suppliers and subcontractors, including procurement activities, delivery tracking, and contract execution
  • Monitor project budgets and support project documentation, including Statements of Work (SOW), contracts, and technical documentation
  • Identify and allocate the necessary human resources throughout the project lifecycle
  • Serve as the primary customer interface, ensuring transparent communication and high customer satisfaction
  • Support cooperation between teams based in the Czech Republic, Israel, and Ukraine
  • Ensure successful transition from development into production and deployment where applicable

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager leading R&D projects involving physical products
  • Proven experience managing the development and delivery of complex hardware products or integrated hardware/software systems
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams (HW, SW, Mechanical, Electrical, Testing)
  • Experience managing complete product development lifecycles, from concept through validation and delivery
  • Strong project planning, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent English is mandatory
  • Willingness to travel frequently to Ukraine
  • Based in Brno or willing to relocate

Nice to Have

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, military, automotive, robotics, industrial automation, or other high-tech R&D environments
  • Experience managing projects for government or B2G customers
  • Familiarity with systems engineering or product development processes
  • Experience with international engineering teams
  • Technical education (Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering or similar) is an advantage
